The task given to us after a month-long vacation (in which I’m very sure my mind has completely run off to some undisclosed location of which I’m unaware of) was to watch a movie and write a reflection detailing its cinematography. The paper was to be three to five pages long.
The inner sloth in me rejoiced in viewing such a movie so early in the semester but having realized that Edith Piaf would be discussed throughout most of the film, I flailed my limbs in a truly unnecessary fashion before gluing my eyes to the screen, never blinking until it was absolutely vital to my health. Piaf has been one of my favorite performers for quite a while and I was delighted to spend instruction time learning about her origins. Non Je Ne Regrette Rien has been my ringtone for three years I believe and I was humming like a loon the entire time. The paper itself was tricky and, if I had not been giving other tasks by other classes, I would’ve been more coherent. I wrote this at around 3 AM and some of the wording may be awkwardly phrased and perhaps that is the one thing that I regret doing.
